Demonstration of total omentectomy toward a greater curvature of the stomach.
Description
Demonstration of total omentectomy toward a greater curvature of the stomach. The omentum is completely freed from the insertion on the transverse colon with special attention to the mesocolon – which forms the posterior wall of the omental bursa. Finally, it is freed from the greater curvature of the stomach and insertion below the spleen. Extensive use of electrosurgery is shown, which allows minimalization of blood loss, shortening of operation time and precise tissue dissection.
