Demonstration of systematic paraaortic lymphadenectomy in standard locations - preaortic, precaval, interaortocaval, paracaval, paraaortic, and presacral.
Description
Demonstration of systematic paraaortic lymphadenectomy in standard locations - preaortic, precaval, interaortocaval, paracaval, paraaortic, and presacral. The inferior margin is the level where the ureter crosses the common iliac vessels, the superior margin the level of the renal veins. Extensive use of electrosurgery is shown, which allows minimalization of blood loss, shortening of operation time and precise tissue dissection. The inferior mesenteric artery, which originates from the anterior wall of the aorta above its bifurcation, is spared.
